In this section, you will be touched by the emotional and courageous stories of
families whose lives have been permanently altered by childhood flu. A diverse
range of families from across the U.S. have been brought together by the tragic
loss of a child from the flu or by a child who has experienced medical
complications from the virus — families who have banded together to heal.
In the summer of 2005, Families Fighting Flu incorporated as a
non-profit organization. Since its inception, the organization has grown to include
additional families affected by childhood influenza, as well as concerned
healthcare practitioners. With the official launch, the organization now provides
an avenue of support and action for those whose lives have been permanently
altered by childhood influenza.
